The Sun is now in Gemini, it's birthday month for the twins. The gift of Gemini is to be ever open to the new; new ideas, new friends, new connections. Their natural curiosity is what keeps them youthful and sprite like. Like the butterfly they flit from flower to flower, covering a broad surface area. True, the cleverness of Gemini doesn't mean wisdom that comes with age, rather it is the wisdom of the child who asks endless questions at school. The emphasis of Gemini planets right now; the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are a rejuvenating elixir, blowing the mental cobwebs away, lightening the mood and making us more adaptable and open to the new, which is very helpful for the Uranus Pluto square energy, in exact aspect . There is crisis of action, situations reach breaking point and to really be aligned to our paths, we have to release that which is dying and stagnated to move forward. From chaos can come amazing new opportunities for growth. Uranus is rebellious and freedom seeking, Pluto is transformative. We have opportunities to make significant changes for our own personal evolution, we are releasing what is no longer relevant to our life path and embracing the new. The effects of this transit are long term, they are not just happening for one day. Tuesday is a great day for networking, sharing ideas and coming up with fresh solutions for old problems with Mercury (communication) interacting with Uranus (trailblazer). Friday favours socializing, creativity and relationships. Mercury meets Venus and it should be easier than normal to express our feelings. On Saturday there is a lunar eclipse, On 25th there is a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses are super full moons and their effects are much stronger than a normal full moon, their effects are felt for at least a month afterwards. They bring completion, closure and release; something is leaving our lives; one door closes and another opens. Emotions are raw at this time, people can be prone to over-reacting and over dramatizing and events happen to you, those around you. Forecast For Week beginning May 13th
The week starts energetically, with the waxing moon building in energy and the anticipation of the budding of intentions from the seeding of the recent new moon solar eclipse (10th May). Venus, planet of relating and Neptune, planet of dreams in a challenging interchange tests our reality and perceptions of relationships. Are we being too idealistic in our expectancy of a relationship or is there room for more enchantment and soul connectedness? Over analysis can spoil the magic of the moment. Mercury, planet of communication moves from the fixed earth of Taurus to his home sign of the mutable air of Gemini on 15th for a 2 week stay. Whereas Mercury in Taurus was about a slow, steady, deliberate mode of communicating and interacting, Mercury in Gemini is light, agile, clever and flexible in thought, speech and words. Mercury in Gemini favours networking, writing, and connecting. The moon reaches her first quarter phase on 18th; challenges, solutions and action come with a first quarter moon. In order to manifest intentions set at the new moon, sudden decisions and unforeseen changes happen. Mercury squares off nebulous Neptune on this day; inspiration and creativity are favoured although thinking may be foggy, confused and lacking logic. Remember that Mercury is at his trickster best in Gemini so be mindful of lack of clarity and wishful thinking when making decisions. Forecast for week 30th April to 5th May
Whatever came to a head at the lunar eclipse on 25th April, whatever shifted in our lives, is the prominent theme this week.  May day on 1st May, (traditionally a Celtic festival known as Beltane, which celebrates the coming of summer and the fertility of the year) is blossoming with potential.  On this day Mercury, the planet of communication charges into the sign of Taurus the bull, to join the rest of the party of planets in Taurus.  This is a helpful energy in bringing ideas onto terra firma and thinking practically and carefully.   The Mars Saturn opposition that has been brewing since last week, reaches boiling point on 1st: something that has been building up for a while demands to be released, whether this is unexpressed anger or emotions that no longer serve us.  The supportive transit of Sun trine Pluto can help to channel our energies in a constructive empowering way and to slow down and put the brakes on. This is a great transit for steady, challenging work that requires discipline and patience. The week begins with Venus moving into her home sign of Taurus for a one month sojourn; socially and creatively it’s all about sensuality, comfort, luxury and beauty. While Venus was in Aries during the last 3 weeks, it was the thrill of the new, the exciting and the risky that was desired. Venus in Taurus is about building on what we have, slowing down to breathe in the present moment with all senses. We’re reminded on Thursday that we mustn’t slow down too much though, rather we need to take the bull by the horns. With the Sun and Mars meeting in active, fiery Aries and the moon at its first quarter phase; it’s a charged day of action, taking the initiative and dealing with challenges in a fearless way. On a softer note Venus takes on a starring role on Venus ruled Friday, as she connects with enchanting Neptune, making for a day oozing with glamour, beauty and romance. The Sun also moves into Taurus on this day, marking the beginning of birthday month for Taureans. On Saturday, Mars the warrior planet moves to Taurus to join the herd of bulls already there. Every new moon favours fresh starts and new beginnings but particularly the fiery Aries new moon this Wednesday, marking a new lunar cycle of the year. Action, innovation, drive and passion are in abundant supply on Wednesday and if there is an important new project that requires initiative and boldness, then the dynamic Aries new moon could give you that extra zest that you need. Venus and Mars, the planets of relating continue to have starring roles this week; whilst this can be great for initiating a new relationship or rekindling an existing one, it is also a pioneering combination for a creative project. With such an emphasis in Aries, there is much fighting for what one desires and values, taking the initiative and being bold and courageous in romance, creativity and finance. Care is needed amidst all this self orientated and assured focus, to develop more empathy and sensitivity to other people’s reality. Pluto the planet of transformation stations on friday to move backwards for 5 months. Week Beginning 25th March
Energies intensify as the full moon on 27th is brewing. With such a cosmic concentration of spring born Aries planets: initiating new starts, action, decisions, assertiveness and independence are prominent themes. But before we charge into action impulsively without looking before we leap, the full moon in measured Libra the scales on Wednesday , helps us to look at all sides and make balanced decisions, especially in the areas of relationships and values. The Sun opposite the full moon illuminates the need for balance and grace in relationships of all kinds. Are our scales tipped more towards our own egotistical needs or are we overly compromising and accommodating? This is a favourable time to sweeten relationships and resolve conflict. On 3rd, the moon enters its last quarter waning phase before the new moon on 11th. This is the time for moving forward with that which begun around 11th, completing tasks and bringing them to a conclusion. There is a focus on healing this week as Chiron, the planet of the wounded healer makes some dramatic appearances and that which needs to be healed and let go of, surfaces. We are facing our fears and dreads and even turning our nightmares into sweet   dreams. We are riding the cosmic waves, after all we’ve had much practise as of late with the ongoing Uranus Pluto square, transit of deep transformative change in our lives and the watery nebulous gathering of Pisces planets. The moon breezes into Aquarius on 4th; don’t keep it close to your chest, it is all about sharing ideas and interacting with friends and within groups. The moon floats into Pisces for a weekend of going with the flow and absorbing ourselves with that which feeds our soul.
